ICQ - can't connect

This is just ridiculous. Can't connect to ICQ no matter what. Using latest Miranda IM (7.12). Clean windows install. Short ICQ password (5 chars). ICQ2GO (online icq client) works. QIP works. Windows firewall is off.

I try to go online, it does nothing for literarly 5 minutes, and then pops up this "Connection failed. Login sequence failed for unknown reason."

Tried both secured (MD5) and ordinary connection. I'm not behind a firewall or NAT - my machine has a real IPv4 address.

Any ideas?

Oh yea, and the log is:

Could you try disabling the UPnP port mapping in Miranda IM Options >> Network (restart the program afterwards) and see if it makes any difference?

Oh my lordie, _thank you_! That solved my everlasting problem with Miranda timing out on ICQ on the first connect attempt, plus crashing on 50% of all outgoing file transfers.

It's always better to report crashes than to work around them - this way one can contribute and improve miranda.

I know Niksus. I got as far as reading the FAQ, checking the forums, logging the problem and trying all the recommended methods for narrowing it down, but when I was repeatedly told on the Miranda support channel that it was "just a network problem of mine that just didn't manifest in other clients and NOT Miranda's fault", I gave up.
