How do i delete my account?

Miranda was my favorite Messenger but i switched to Linux and use Pidgin.

How can i delete my account? I was cleaning up my Mails and Passwordlist and saw this Forum. It helped me during my Windows Time but now i want to delete my account and havn't found a way to do this. Where is it?

I don't think you delete forum accounts you just stop going to them

This is not good. I would understand to lock the username to new members because this could lead to trouble. But especially in these times, where everyone is more sensible about privacy in the internet and where we often hear news where forums were compromised and passwords and mailadresses are stolen, i want to have the chance to unsubsribe, unregister and delete accounts at forums, social networks and blogs.

Also, there is a situation possible, when your request will be regarded as spam. Or it can just be ignored for unlimited time.

Every Forum should have a function to delete the own account for privacy reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What privacy reasons are you concerned about? We do not generally delete an account unless there are special circumstances. User contributions is what makes this forum work. Deleting posts associated with a single users is not a very wise move. We can certainly lock your account or rename it. But unless there is some critical need to delete the posts, we try to keep the history on the forum.

What is your problem to delete the Account? It makes no problems, the posts are keep in forum. You can create a Account for History reasons and merge the deleted Account with this. This forum sofware have a function to merge Accounts.

It's about making his account anonymous, isn't it? I agree, that deleting the posts is a bad idea, but maybe you could set another password, change the name and delete profile information about him?
