"Multiple Points of Presence" (MPOP) support for MSN-protocol

Are there any plans on implementing the "Multiple Points of Presence" (MPOP) feature, which exist in the MSNP 16 and forwards, in Miranda's MSN protocol? Windows Live Messenger use it (and afaik is the only client, sofar).

Since Miranda IM is so much preferable to messenger I'd be in heaven if this was added here too.

Yes, there are. The problem is that changes in WLM 9 protocol are very extensive: in addition to "Multiple Points of Presence", P2P protocol changed completely (this affects avatars, file transfers), address book stuff changed significantly, and many other things. Bottom line it's a huge rewrite, so do not expect it soon.
