when addon site can be access?

Oh My God, I have been waiting such a long time for the addon site become accessible. I just wonder how long I have to wait?

There was a TV show here in the UK in the 1980s called "Why don't you?", where a group of kids would come up with ideas of things to do to keep yourself entertained rather than just sitting about moping around indoors and achieving nothing in particular. In fact, the full title of the show was "Why Don't You Just Switch Off Your Television Set And Go Out And Do Something Less Boring Instead?"

Might be a maxim to take to heart.

Until it's sorted. If it's really such a big issue for you then provide suitable hosting, otherwise wait like everybody else. Whining about it doesn't make you popular with anyone, and does absolutely nothing to speed up the process of getting the addon site back online.

I agree with you, but you could say things in a less agressive way. We're here to help each other. Try to be kind.

The problem is that this has already been addressed in several threads and is even specifically mentioned on the front page. It even specifically says "There is no scheduled completion time" on the filler page, so when people come here and start asking about it they're always going to get short shrift because it's inconsiderate, for one, and they clearly haven't looked elsewhere for another.

We are working on setting up the server as we speak. However, we have to first make sure our server is setup so it is secure and we have to have the server configured correctly. After that is complete, we can work on adding the addons site to the server and get it up and running. We can't say when this we all be done because we do not know, but hopefully it will only be a few days at the most.

    whats the point?
we already have sticky topics in every forum title "read this first" and "don't request these things" and people dont even read those

adding another forum will just be additional clutter

I think it's still a reasonable question to ask. I'm a recent adopter of miranda and have been extremely frustrated - as am sure everyone is - that there are plugins that I can't access (google desktop plugin mainly, hint hint).

Even though this isn't a commercial product but a fan made project every day that simple parts of the site people expect are not up it pushes new fans away. Just imagine everyone who has recently downloaded Miranda only to find it impossible to customize because the addons are down and the forum is fairly impenetrable to newcomers.

An ETA (ball park figures) would be nice. You really can't expect people to stop asking why half the functionality of their messenger is missing because they can't access the necessary resources.
