Send chat logs to Gmail

Is it possible to create a plugin that will send chat logs to a Gmail account?
Similar to the aMSN plugin GLogs http://amsn.sourceforge.net/plugins.php. I have not used this plugin but I think the concept would be useful especially if using a roaming profile on a USB drive.
With the new Gmail Chat features it may also be possible to save these logs as actual searchable chat logs in Gmail.

From what i understand gmail will log the chat logs automatically so there's no need for a plugin.

But will it be able to log chats from other networks? So will you be able to log MSN and ICQ chats this way?

OMG ...

There's a plugin you can use to export the history, then you could use a shell script that runs from time to time to archive the logs and send an email to yourself ...
Or you could create the plugin yourself.

I keep wondering who would use such a thing though (except you of course)

Since something like this has been implemented by aMSN, Trillian http://www.uneasysilence.com/archive/2005/10/4487/, and Google itself I find your snide comment about its usefulness a little off base.

If I knew how to code a plugin I would have done it myself instead of risking the derision of people like you by placing a request.

While looking for a gmail email notifier for Miranda, I saw this:

It sounds like its what you want, but I didnt look. I wasn't interested yet.

Glad I could help. You wouldn't happen to know of a way to be notified of new netscape.net email, would you? Besides upgrading to a paid account (my new gmail is bigger and better for free, why pay for less?).

I want this plugin too. I want to use gmail keep all my chat logs beside google talk. It's useful as "Could" chat logs. :)
