Hopefully updated IEView will be released soon. I can provide a test version.

I currently implemented this for contrib, are you requesting this for the main package as well?

The issue here what if addon require extra dll or renamed dll, update would fail... Not sure it's appropriate across the board. What do you think?

I do not "request" it. Im only asking for it - and if you have some time, I would be happy to test it for you :)

And I'm not happy with the solution only to replace existing files. It should only recognize which protocols I use and install only these. But I dont know a good resolution for files like the chat.dll which came up with the update and everytime I update my build it would require to click away a warning.

I was just talking about the contrib pack, not about other plugin Updates. For the Main package it might make sense too, if I think about chat.dll and srmm.dll which no one uses ;)

The question whether it installs stable/alpha/beta versions remains open ;)

You can just disable chat.dll in Plugins options once and forever.

It's may be looks silly for you, but on some computers, multiple people using same Miranda installation with different set of protocols per profile.

Updating only existing files is the right solution.
If *you* don't want some protocols, then *delete* these files and you'll have the desired effect.

Yeah but "I" installed a different icon package with the same name as the one in the contrib pack which was overwritten after the update. One solution will be renaming the existing dll but "I" think there could be a more precise selection which plugin "I" want to install and which not.

For the chat.dll thing is everything obsolete now. I didnt recognize the setting in the options menu ^.^

There is dll only option in updater. It should take care of this.

That means that "install only dll" ignores icon files? That doesnt make much sense because the icons are dlls too ^^

I guess need to be renamed into install plugins only. This updater thing snowballs really quick :).
