MSN Personal messages (aka status messages)?

How do you use the MSN Personal messages (aka status messages) that were supposed to be included in the latest release of miranda? I saw it in the change log, but I don't know where to change it.

make sure u have msn v7 enabled int he msn options
then u can change your message in options > status > status message

I've ticked "Use MSN Messenger 7 protocol", but I've only got Idle and Visibilty under Status. I'm using msn 0.4.0.4 and miranda 0.4.0.1.

any word on this? I have all my plugins and such set up for MSN 0.1.7.11 and Miranda 0.3.4 and am having no real issues. But if the status messages for MSN work now I'd consider fixing what ain't broken.

Maybe you got an Away plugin that takes over the Away messages...

yes he is right. I had that problem. Remove any away message plugins you have. That fixed it for me. And yes look for MSN 4.1.1 on the fourms. The benefit of coming here is you get certain releases ahead of time.

0.4.1.1 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting all the time.

I kinda noticed that. I installed my exact folder of Miranda to a friend's machine running XP-SP1 and MSN wouldn't connect for the first time. After nicely asking KeepStatus to retry the connection, it would connect from the 6th-8th attempt or something (but not always) and often enough drops connection.

Meanwhile, I'm having no such problems on my Win98SE system. It connects from the first attempt, except for when I'm trying to connect as Invisible. In that case, sometimes it wouldn't get connected immediately, but at the 2nd or 3rd attempt.

We're both on the same LAN, with the same settings.
