two things ... it seems it's no longer displaying unread email count in the status bar .. yes, made sure to check "show unread emails (if supported)"

and..
when the 'contact' on the clist changes from offline to online when new mail arrives, it's status is being set to 'occupied' ... and yes, the 'contact' is displaying unread email in square brackets ...

oh, one more ... are you aware of any issues when using the email notifier and jabber gtalk connection at the same time?

It never was displaying anything in status bar, as it is not clear which account to display this info for.
No I am not aware of any issues with Jabber.

i seem to recall seeing it display unread email in the status bar, like msn does, at least just before these most recent miranda versions .... strange , it would be nice if it did display unread email like that tho, either way ...

with the 'Use online contacts when no new mail' option is left uncheck ... the 'contact' comes online as 'occupied' when new mail arrives

Again, it is not clear for which account... this protocol support multiple accounts.

i would imagine it also creates a clist contact for 'each' account ... ?

the status bar icon could display total unread email for all accounts, and possibly right click menu entries with each account and an unread mail count beside ... similar to msn 'display hotmail inbox' ... with an entry for each account ... just thinking out loud

Status bar option is a function of clist modern, it only display 1 number, and nothing else. I might add emil notifications to Jabber protocol, then it will be possible.

yeah, the jabber option would be a good idea. would save the need for two plugins for gtalk and gmail checking anyway

Yes, it was always like that, "occupied". You can check use online contact option and there will be no problems.
