    What the fix exactly?

And onr more question, what's the different between Miranda x32 & x64?

If you did not have any problems ... then why is it relevant? It had to do your status seen as away instead of Occupied or other non Online status.

x64 is 64-bit edition and only runs on Windows 64-bit edition.
x32 runs on both 32 and 64 bit Windows and is what most probably want to use atm.

Unless you use plugins that you'd rather not lose and only exist in 32-bit compile, you should prefer the 64-bit build on 64-bit system. All running 32-bit tasks need to be emulated real-time through the WoW64 sub-system, this adds (albeit negligible) latency and is generally undesirable as is all emulation.

There is NO emulation on a x64 system. WoW is a Win32 API layer that executes everything natively and there is no need to emulate anything. Some overhead comes from things like registry and file system virtualization, but that's about it.

The emulation for 32bit applications is only needed on IA-64 versions of 64bit Windows, because the Itanium CPU cannot execute x86 code.

If WoW 64 was an emulation, the performance differences between 32bit and 64bit Windows when running 32bit applications would have to be much more significant. In fact, some 32bit applications can run faster on 64bit Windows.

That is not quiet true, API is translated from 32 to 64 bit, it's not huge but it some, and WoW itself is not a tiny thing.

x64 is for users who think they are cool and still believe that x64 programs are always better and faster.
x32 is for users who want use all plugins and want no other problems.
