I have actually stopped using ICQ over this several months ago. It was just too annoying.

I'm having the same problem with ICQ spammers.
The ignore list doesn't work at all, so there's definitely a problem that needs to be addressed.
I reported the problem with the non-working ignore list here as well:
http://forums.miranda-im.org/showthread.php?25766
..in the end I solved that particular issue simply by turning off the chat function in Gmail.
Oh, so you have confirmed that the ignore list doesn't work for Jabber now?
You wrote in your last post in that thread that it probably was because of a 3rd party plugin I was using:
http://forums.miranda-im.org/showthr...633#post211633 .
Anyway, I thought it could be helpful to mention my problems with Jabber here, since the ignore list obviously doesn't work for ICQ either (or at least, for some people it doesn't).
Maybe this could indicate that there's a problem with Miranda's ignore list in general?
1. Jabber does not support Ignore list for Authorization requests ONLY. Everything else, is supported.
2. ICQ has a known problem with server list handling (you cannot delete temporary contacts, I believe it's issue 2 on a bug tracker), everything else are the different ramifications of this issue.
OK. Thanks for clearifying, borkra.
Sure hope this ICQ bug gets fixed.
I'd hate having to drop the protocol just because of these Russian spammers..
They're really starting to annoy me.
