Question about removing contacts from MSN

    Hi guys,
I'm using the latest stable version of Miranda, and have a question about removing contacts from MSN.
A couple of minutes ago I was in a conversation window, and suddenly a message appeared, asking me if I wanted to remove a user from my contact list. I didn't actually take a note of which user it was, but I also had a checkbox saying "also remove from hotmail address book". The thing I noticed, however, was that in this window their was no cancel button, so I couldn't cancel it. Eventually I decided to use alt-F4, which seemed to clsoe the window, but I@m not unsure weather I did actually remove any contacts from my contact list. Moreover, when I hit the delete key on any of my contacts in my contact list, I don't get the screen described above; instead, I get a screen with a checkbox saying "hide from list only", and in this dialog there is actually a cancel button.
So, I guess what I@m asking is, do any of you guys know what that misterious dialog with no cancel button was, and how it is different from the dialog with the checkbox which says "only hide contact"?
I'm also wondering if I did actually remove contacts. Does anyone have any ideas?
I hope that made sence, :).
    Thanks,
    Elliott.

If you will click Delete in the Hide only dialog, you will get the dialog you were talking about first. And yes at this point there is no Cancel, contact will be gone, the only question is how far.

Go to Options | MSN | Server list and see, what you got.

    Hi,
I've gone itno the server settings, but can only see the main MSN server. What am I supposed to be looking for?
Just as a side note, I've just tried signing into my MSN account on my netbook with a different installation of Miranda (it's the latest one as well), and didn't receive the "contact has been removed, do you want to keep them in your profile?" dialog either. Surely, if I had removed any contacts, shouldn't that dialog have appeared to ask me if I wanted to keep them in my profile file?
I really don't know how that dialog appeared; I didn't hit the delete key on any of my contacts at all, it just seemed to appear when I was in a conversation window. Is their a hotkey that I could have pressed by accident, or anything that I could have clicked? I also didn't receive the first dialog, asking me if I just wanted to ignore them; I just received the dialog asking me if I also wanted to remove them from my Hotmail addressbook.
    Do you have any ideas?
Thanks a lot for your help,
    Elliott.

Oh if you will search forums you find a guy who argued for many months that he wants to keep all his contacts and all the history with his contacts starting from the Great Flood. And claims that this is extremely important. At least it was important to him to the point that he argued for a few months.

Yes, after you say you do not want to keep them in your profile it asked how far you want to delete them, only from IM or from Hotmaill address book as well.
