The problem is this "put them in a folder". I notice that group changes for a contact not work, FB overwrite this settings with the groups from the FB website when jabber connection starts. You must first create a FB group and move the contacts on the FB website into this group.
Another problem with this groups is that you can assign more than one group to a contact, but in the chat you have only one group per contact.
how to make all contacts appear in a certain group ?
every time I connect they are moved to the root group (plus create group with same names as groups in facebook.com)
hmmh, I notice contacts in the root group only if they have no group in Facebook.
(btw, I notice some contacts without names only numbers in the FB groups, and one jabber contact with the name of an existing miranda group in the root, notice someone the last issue too?)
If I'm already using Jabber for GMail, can I also use it for Facebook?
Any way to make a Jabber protocol clone with just the Facebook icon?
Is it really necessary to change the Facebook group names to meet the Miranda contact list names if you want to keep contacts organized as any other protocol contacts? This disturbs me a bit, as my Miranda contact list groups are nested (thus, they contain the special character "\").
EDIT: This was already answered in the previous message while I typed my question. And I'm afraid the answer is "yes", at this moment.

By the way, Lancaster already provided Facebook status icons and smileys for the Facebook protocol that also work flawlessy for a Facebook Jabber account:
Thanks a lot for that.
