    Facebook Discussion (XMPP Using Jabber)

No need for a plugin now, since Facebook has officially announced Facebook Chat available via XMPP!

For some reason, it doesn't work for me. I get the following error:

    ---------------------------
    Jabber Authentication
    ---------------------------
No known auth methods available. Giving up.
    ---------------------------
    OK

Sorry, "Secure XMPP Network" is what I meant to say. It is the default option I believe. We will add a new Jabber type to the new release coming up that will autofill the server.

I read your problem in jarvises thread before someone deleted it. Try lowercase your username. Had the same problem.

While this is interesting, the Facebook guys themselves say that this is only a proxy. Kind of like how while you can use MSN using Jabber, it misses many features and isn't a good option.
Therefore, it won't probably obsolete Jarvis' plugin, which connects natively to Facebook the same way as the original FB chat.

    I think.

    okay, lowercase, is correct.
(Strange, on the FB help page for pidin and others it's in uppercase)
