    8.4 AIM File Transfers not working..?

    I notice 8.2 gave File Transfer fixes & 8.3 gave File Transfer Improvements, but 8.4 didn't mention anything about AIM file transfers..

    I'm using 8.4 now and I can't send or recieve a single file on AIM.. File transfers work fine on the MSN protocol... [And also in Live Messenger, Google Talk (apps, not protocols)] ...so I don't think its any kind of firewall / router issue..
    but I prefer Aim, since it supports resuming... but it doesn't work for me ! :(

    Any ideas?

    I do not have any problems with AIM file transfers, what so ever.

    Sorry for the super late reply, I didn't have a file to send til now..
    I've updated to 8.5 & am having the same problems. This time the file transfer actually said "connected" for a split second before failing. (Usually it says something along the lines of "waiting for user to accept file" even though the other user has clicked accept).

    It looks like the other client aborted transfer in the middle do not know why ....

    What was the client on the other side? Maybe it did not like all the dots in the file name...

    The other client was the official AIM client, might not be the latest though, but fairly recent, running on Windows 7
