    AIM - Mismatched Screen Name and Password

    I have been receiving a popup with the AIM protocol stating "Mismatched Screen Name and Password".

    Ive seen this thread:

    But it the solutions dont seem to help.

    It just started when i upgraded to 0.8.0 as far as i can tell everything is up to date. This error occurs somewhat randomly, about 75% of the time.

    Any information?

    I tried it about 10 times and i got the "Mismatched" error and "Unable to connect" somewhat randomly. This network log hopefully captured each of the two errors, one for each AIM username.

    There was a similar problem with ICQ user I believe aim password cannot exceed 8 letters. Longer passwords simply truncated

    Mine are much longer than 8 characters.


    @Ryanoc3ros: I might recommend changing the password to see if it still causes problems.

    I closed miranda for 20 minutes because it was saying to wait 10 minutes to reconnect. (the error still occured after waiting for 11 minutes). Upon restarting miranda it connected fine. Could it have something to do with connecting and disconnecting too frequently?
