I purposely registered in this forum to say this:

It's time to discontinue this facebook protocol. Whoever is in charge, just call it quits already. You aren't committed towards the development for facebook protocol for miranda cause clearly this protocol has failed to connect for the longest of period with no fixes nor update for a very long time.

For those who wishes to use facebook chat protocol in miranda, just head on over to FACEBOOK RM. At least you know the developer is committed to updating and fixing any problems quite promptly.

I ALSO registered just to say present you my experience of miranda and to urge you to remove this plugin already.

I installed Miranda for the first time (just basic without any plugins) and saw the "Get more protocols" button in the Accounts menu.
so I thought: Great! lets see what there is.
One click later I am on this site and immidiately I see

1. Facebook Protocol 3,178 downloads"

I think: woah this is awesome, a facebook plugin, so I install it (like 3178 other people in the last 2 weeks) just to see it not work! I as a beginner think of course it has to be my error, but also i searched hard i couldnt figure out what i did wrong.
Now after approx. 2 weeks a friend tells me that the plugin is **** and i should not have installed it.


I mean this is incrediblly frustrating for a new user to be trapped in this way.

tl;dr I urge you to remove this plugin, it really is frustrating and there is no excuse for trapping new users in such a way!
