    okay....
I feel there are some logical problems with this new option dialog.

    A)
    1) I open it with the main menu entry or a button in the CL.
    2) I click on one of the entries.
    3) o_O What now? The only thing I can do now is press the red "X" and open the dialog again by the entry in the main menu.
There should be the possibility to "go back" on the pages for the entries.

    B) There is this "Advanced" button.
    1) Ignore->Advanced, I get an dialog with exactly the same settings.
    2) On most pages I get a dialog about "Save changes", but after this I get exactly the same page.
    3) This "Advanced" button is not on all pages.
This "Advanced" Button should be only available (visible always) if there are advanced settings.

    C) I can switch from this "simple mode" to the "Classic Mode", but where I can switch from the classic to the simple mode?
Place a link "Switch to simple options" on the classic option dialog.

    D) "View help online"
    1) This link is not on all pages
    2) It would be nice, at least for the German and the Russian communities, if this link and the link for the English Website, can modify with an Language pack entry. (like the "Help" in the main menu)

However, many thanks for this new dialog, I thing it's a big step up the ladder.

The difference between VS8 and VS9 C++ project files is only the version number. You can change it with a simple text editor and then use the VS9 project within VS8.

Or you can get the latest PSDK (free download) and use its msbuild command (latest SDK will install VS9 compilers and tools).

Just a note to those who use SVN:

    1) The 0.8.x branch is now in /branches/stable
    2) /trunk contains a future version (possibly 0.9) but it is not the focus of the current development which is still 0.8.x.

I am not sure where I shall report this, therefore here:
There are two mistakes in the current SVN/Trunk

-modernopt_8.vcproj not work, I get 4 unresolved externals:
    Code:
Fehler	41	error LNK2001: Nicht aufgelöstes externes Symbol "__ftol2_sse".	mopt_selector.obj
Fehler	42	error LNK2001: Nicht aufgelöstes externes Symbol "___CxxFrameHandler3".	mopt_selector.obj
Fehler	43	error LNK2001: Nicht aufgelöstes externes Symbol "__EH_epilog3_GS".	mopt_selector.obj
Fehler	44	error LNK2001: Nicht aufgelöstes externes Symbol "__EH_prolog3_GS".	mopt_selector.obj
(Edit the versionsnummer to 8,0 in the _9 project files works. Sorry I am not sure what is wrong.)

In the directory (Miranda Trunk)\miranda\protocols\Yahoo\libyahoo2 I miss the two files yahoo_auth.h and yahoo_auth.c, copy this files from the stable branch works.

Edit: Moved from 0.8.0 Preview Release #7 Discussion thread.

Errr... what's the reason for moving to a new SVN host? Sourgeforge has always worked very well for me.

As far as I know to stop maintaining our own Bug Tracker and Wiki sites and use Google instead.

I think you will find svn checkout to be atleast 50% faster now. However, the move is not fully complete yet as we still have bugs and wiki to move. In the long run, it will save us hosting fees along with lots of time dealing with upgrades and maintaining the server software.

The move of the svn repository got me by surprise. Was the change announce anywhere else than in this thread? I ran over it in the latest alpha build discussion. The only thing I actually noticed recently was that the mailing list was moved.

The bottom line is: Which blogs, sites, feeds should I monitor to stay on top of these developments?
