When I open Miranda and log on most times I get a lot of spam from YM.
In the options under ignore I have turned off all items for unknown, but still get as many as 30 spam messages, why doesn't this option work? Of course Yahoo is no help at all.

In the Ignore list, all events should be enabled (recte their icons visible) for the events to be ignored.
Also, unmarking a contact's checkbox will hide it from the list.

Ok I will try that, it just seems backwards to me

Ok tried again making icons visible in the ignore list did not help still getting unknown user stuff next idea?

Well, it seems that Miranda's Yahoo protocol still has a long way to go before it comes to the specs.
Unfortunately I've noticed myself that offline messages still come through when they were sent by contacts on Miranda's general Ignore list.
You may file this as a bug on the Bug Tracker, in the Yahoo protocol section.
