    I only have [A-Za-z0-9] and it doesn't work.

    hmm.. guess i was just lucky.. okay honestly i only have [a-z0-9] no capital letters

  3. #33
    well but there is the problem.

    I changed my password now several times

    ---> [a-z0-9] works

    ---> [a-zA-Z0-9] doesnt work

    looks for me as if miranda forces the password to lower case

    I'd rather not changed my password to make it work... having just [a-z 0-9] isn't very secure IMO...

    I still don't understand though: If the servers are down, why does WLM still work?

    Quoting borkra:
    Microsoft stopped allowing the official 7.5 client a few months or more ago; do you think they're now stopping users and clients who claim to be 7.5 and trying to make them download 8.1? If so, would modifying the plugin to identify itself as 8.1 work?
    So, Miranda-IM 0.78 is using msn.dll wich provides MSN 7.5 client support only. Miranda-IM 0.8x and WLM are using the NEW and shiny LIVE-Services, which are working well. So you can only go online with Miranda-IM 0.8x or WLM.

    This is not completely correct, it depends on your email.

    If you have hotmail.com account yes, Miranda 0.7.8 does not work right now.

    If you have msn.com account Miranda 0.7.8 works just fine.

    And most likely by the end of the day hotmail.com accounts will start working too.

    And if I'm using a personal domain...what then?

    I have hotmail.de. People where it is working have @live.de. So you're right... Under Miranda-IM 0.8 it works fine for me, too. What's going on?

    I think I'll make a new account, or is there a way to change the domain so, that my contacts can still contact me with hotmail.de?

    Edit: So I guess actually the hotmail database server is temporary down...

    It does not msn.com are only given to people if they use MSN as their ISP. These are paid accounts now or were paid at some point of time.

    Free accounts are the one that are not working.
