    donkEE, what licence you plan use?
    And also, while addons site down, you can upload binary and sources to http://googlecode.com/ , for example. Many Miranda developers use that Google service.

    mhn. good question. i think first closed source, later if i havent enough time, open source. but i think it should be open, cause i'm using the xfirelib (gnu). i dont know much about gnu license.

    So looking forward to this. I really hate the xfire client as it seems really slow and there always seems to be a new update out.

    Closed source plugins not interesting for me.

    But if you use any GNU GPL sources inside your project (doesn't matter amount), you should use same GNU GPL licence and release sources or that would be licence violation. So, i'm waiting for your plugin, good luck :)

    I'm not sure harassing people about licence issues before a test version has even been released is really the way forward. It's clear from earlier posts that he's already aware of the potential licence requirements.
