It is blocked in general by the ISP, not the company - I am uid=0 && gid=0 ;)

This is the reason why i was choosen HTTP gateway mode. HTTP isn't blocked. I also added a proxy (my one) in IE settings. Over this one, there cannot be any problems occure. Squid logs seems also look fine.

The much more strange thingy is:
Sometimes I can connect without any(!) problems and messagings also works.

    Any ideas borkra?

Was not blocked before, but blocked now.

Your own proxy does not hide anything, if you would have proxy on the different network (ISP) it might do the trick (depending on how robust message filtering by ISP)

It might be that your proxy to slow in responding.

It is not - manual telnet works fine.

I am sitting in Dubai, UAE - the proxy is in one of our server-farms in Germany.

Testet with `time' - it responses in less than less than a second.

Gnarf, now i wanted to paste a network-log with activated IE proxy - for sure everything works fine now ... connecting and messaging ...

How to help you with a log sooner. :)

heh guys; now I realized my server list for irc is gone. There is nothing in the database when looking into using database editor. Even quick connect list is empty and in the options I can see nothing related to servers. even buttons add, edit and del are missing. has anyone noticed such a behaviour?

Edit: solved :-) I haven't noticed use of IRC_servers.ini is back

    Can someone confirm?

Ok, this 3 bugs are not only #2 related, but except the 1th it's related to 0.7.x and 0.8.X build because it works before, therefore I ask here if someone can confirm it.
(All 3 are in the bugtracker, but I didn't get useful answers :| . Maybe I am the only one with this problems...)

    Clist modern:
A 1) Clist modern sometimes crash when I enable graphical smileys, and anybody change the status
A 2) Clist modern sometimes crash when I enable animated Avatars

    IRC
    B) IRC protocol "hang" on connect very often, sometimes it works, most of the time not, sometimes it only connect to the server, but not execute the perform commands.

    Scriver/IRC
    C) Smileys not always visible in IRC-Chatrooms. I enter :( and see :( but not . In jabber MUCs and with SRMM/Chat.dll I see the graphical smileys. The smileys appear after I close and open the Scriver window again. (Space settings in Smilleyadd , or Codepage settings in IRC makes no different)

Is that not the same problem as the one talked about in the No Online Users (ICQ) thread? Try the suggestions posted there please.
Thanks, it seems, I really need to request auth from somebody... Strangely, earlier I have always praised Miranda for that it was not necessary to request authorization... :(
The next day will show whether this problem.
