    new yahoo emoticons

I have just logged in webmessenger.yahoo.com and i am impressed with the new set of emoticons there.

Do you have any idea where/how i can download this set?

Not on the file listing, since they won't be hosted there.

Grab them one by one from here and here, replace the old ones (in some Yahoo/general smiley package) with the new ones (rename as appropriate and add new codes where needed by editing the .asl/.msl file) and enjoy. Just don't try to post the modified package to the Addons page - it'll be rejected on spot, due to copyright infringement.

I did not mean those emoticons, which are OLD already. I meant the emoicons used by the webmessenger of Yahoo.

Ah, my bad, then. I dunno where you could get those ugly... things from. Maybe also by saving them one by one from that page or something. Never used that web service.

The whole thing is in Flash, so I don't think there's a direct way to download them. Maybe they'll be in the Vista build. They're not so ugly though :P

Should I understand that you want them to be animated? Do you use IEView?

Because, if you're using only SmileyAdd, you could simply use Photoshop and convert the screenshot you've taken into separate emoticons...

yes, for sure. Yahoo emoticons only look nice when they are animated. this "magnified" set is good.

True, I like them as well. There's a way however, and it's not that difficult - just use a flash-grabber to get the files used in web-messenger's site and then decomplile it and edit it in Macromedia Flash to get the emoticons only.
