I just found out that I have apparently been missing all of the offline messages sent to me by my friends for god knows how long. I have searched the forums and I found something about an issue with the MSN servers that meant I would have to create a new account etc... which would be quite troublesome; so I first want to see if the wizards have anything to say. Here's my procedure; and my log has been sent to borkra via PM; just posting here in case someone has the exact same issue.

Problem report:
- Receiving offline message does not work on a specific MSN address.
- Sending offline messages from this address works without an issue.
- Logging into the hotmail website and activating the built-in messenger instantly receives all of the queued offline messages
- the issue is tied to the address as creating a brand new profile in a clean version of miranda freshly downloaded from the website does not help.

Steps to recreate the issue + log file + version info

A quick update:

My issue has been identified as the inability to receive offline message when there are many waiting in the queue, but has been fixed already (thanks Borkra!) in the latest SVN.

You have problems establishing chat sessions. Server kicks you out. Not sure why.. If I recall correctly some time ago (maybe long time) somebody had similar problem... I do not remember how it was solved, but search forums maybe you will find it...

I do not know why your contact wants to have chat session with you... If you do not like popup you can disable it in options.

Although error 712 means too often try to create a chat session... Send me a network log for this contact establishing chat session I am curious what he is after...
